
Quick & Easy Recipes: Hooray for leftover turkey
Thanksgiving has arrived. The leaves have turned to vibrant oranges and reds, Halloween candy is in the stores and families are gearing up for the much-awaited turkey feast. If you have leftover turkey, here is a simple recipe we have created for you and your family to enjoy.
For a quick, easy way to make a delicious family supper using leftover Thanksgiving turkey, Turkey a la King is the answer.

Ingredients
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup 250 mL
- 1 cup turkey gravy 250 mL
- 1/2 lb mushrooms fresh, sliced 250 grams
- 3-4 cups turkey leftover pieces, chopped 750 mL- 1 L
- 6 ready to bake puff pastry shells
- red bell peppers optional
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat equal parts of cream of mushroom soup and leftover gravy over medium heat. Next, saute sliced mushrooms in a pan and add to pot. Add cooked turkey pieces and heat it all together.
- Optional: For added flavour, add red bell peppers to the mix.
