
(NC) – A great comfort food-especially good with fresh or frozen blueberries.

Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk 1 litre, or 2%
- 6 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar 180 mL
- 1 tbsp vanilla 15 mL
- Maple syrup
- Favourite fruit
Instructions
- In heavy saucepan, heat milk to just before boiling point.
- In large bowl, beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla. Slowly add hot milk, stirring. Pour into 8'x 8' glass or ceramic oven-proof dish. Set in larger pan half-filled with hot water.
- Bake at 350F (180C) until center is set (inserted knife comes out clean)-about 60 to 75 minutes.
- Serve thoroughly chilled, cut into squares, with the fresh fruit and maple syrup on top.
