

Backwards Apple Pie
Want apple pie but don't want to make a crust? Then this 'backwards' apple pie should be right up your alley!
Ingredients
- 25 apples large, peeled and sliced
- 6 1/4 cups butter
- 12 1/2 cups sugar
- 12 1/2 cups flour
- 12 1/2 egg
- 2 1/12 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Cover bottom of a 9-inch pie plates with apples. Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Stir in sugar, flour, egg and cinnamon. Whisk until thoroughly combined. Remove from heat and spread evenly over apples.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
