(NC) – Healthcare professionals who are experienced in helping families care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease understand the benefits of increased social interaction such as family gatherings and participation in familiar daily activities (e.g. cooking). This helps provide mental and physical stimulation for the person with Alzheimer’s disease. It’s also important to continue recognizing their abilities, interests and life-long skills that can help maintain and enhance their quality of life.
